Starting Somewhere

For years, I’ve been meaning to start a blog—a space to share insights, experiences, and lessons from my 17 years as a real estate agent here in Oakland and the East Bay. And yet, as life so often goes, I kept putting it off. Looking back, I realize how many moments I’ve missed—stories I could have told, challenges I could have shared, and victories (big and small) that might have inspired or helped someone along the way.

But here’s the good news: I’m starting now.

The East Bay real estate market is always changing, and so am I. After nearly two decades in this business, there’s no shortage of experiences to pull from. I’ve walked through countless homes, navigated complex deals, and worked with clients during some of their most significant life moments. Through it all, I’ve learned more than I ever could have imagined—about real estate, about people, and about myself.

This blog isn’t just about the market (though I’ll certainly share insights to help you make sense of it). It’s also about the human side of what I do—connecting with clients, solving problems, celebrating wins, and growing through challenges. While I’m excited to share what’s happening now, I’ll also bring in stories and lessons from the past that are still just as relevant today.

Starting this blog feels like finally opening a door I’ve walked past too many times. My hope is that it becomes a resource, a source of encouragement, and a window into the work I do best: helping buyers, sellers, and homeowners in the East Bay.

So, here’s to starting now. I can’t promise it will always be perfect (real estate rarely is!), but I can promise it will be honest, useful, and real—just like the journey of homeownership itself.

Thanks for being here, and I can’t wait to share what’s next.
